On-Campus:

CBA members will be housed in either the Rains Residence Hall or the McCarthy Residence Hall on the "Leavey Campus" (Map of LMU).  Both buildings are very new (1997-1998), spacious, adjacent to the Dollinger Parking Structure (a.k.a. Leavey Parking Structure), and only a short walk from the buildings where all CBA sessions and meals will be.  All rooms are air-conditioned, many have views of the Pacific Ocean, and there is a shared bath between each two rooms.

All meals will be served in the Ahmanson Dining Complex (part of the Malone Student Center), while the Coffee Breaks and the Evening Receptions will be outdoors (weather permitting - but as the song says, "It never rains in Southern California").

        Room and Board for 3 days will cost a total of $205 for single accomodations
        Room and Board for 3 days is also available for $151 in shared double accomodations.
        Meals for the 3 days will also be available for $96.50, for those residing off campus.
        There is an extra charge of $20 for the evening Social Hours for all participants.

Off-Campus:

For those desiring off-campus housing, any of the major hotels that advertize themselves as "Airport Area" are nearby, since LMU is only 3 miles North of the LAX airport.  However, please be aware that the Democratic National Convention will be held in Los Angeles in mid-August, so rooms are already limited at some hotels.  (Area Map).

The only hotel within walking distance of campus (just over 1/2 mile) is the Furama Hotel Los Angeles.  They have some nice "Tower" rooms available at a special LMU rate of only $75 per night.  Their regular rates and their advertized "Corporate Rates" are significantly higher ($99-160), so make sure to mention your affiliation with Loyola Marymount University.

Some other airport-area hotels also offer special LMU rates, including the Four Points Sheraton (at $109 per night) or the Embassy Suites LAX South (at $129 per night).  Simply ask for the special rates for Loyola Marymount University (rather than the Catholic Biblical Association).
