Note 2: The Book of Ruth is not part of the original "Deuteronomistic History" (not by the same author); but it is placed after Judges in most Bibles today, and thus is included in the above table.
Note 3: The Responsorial Psalm is usually from the Book of Psalms, but sometimes a Canticle from the OT or NT is used after the First Reading, such as Hannah's Song (1 Samuel 2).
